Personal Reflection

It’s been a month since I took my NCLEX and became a nurse. Since then, I’ve been offered more nursing jobs than I ever expected all while already transitioning into a nurse and working as an EMT.
But what this past month really taught me is that being wanted doesn’t always mean being valued.
Some places just see a license, a warm body, a number to fill a spot. And that's why I wanted to tell all my fellow baby nurses. Don’t forget your worth. You’ve worked too hard, lost too much sleep, and cried too many tears to settle for anything that doesn’t feel right. It’s not always about the paycheck or the title. Sometimes, the biggest win is peace. Finding a space that sees you, supports you, and helps you grow as a new nurse.
You know what, I turned down jobs that looked good on paper but didn’t sit right in my gut. And because of that, I found places that feel right. Even willing to help me continue my education. I’m sharing this because I know how easy it is to doubt ourselves, especially in the beginning, but please remember. You are more than enough.
Keep showing up for yourself. Protect what you’ve built. Protect your license. Trust your gut, trust God, and trust the process. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine and I’m living proof of that. And trust that what’s meant for you won’t miss you. The right doors will open. I promise.
Psalm 37:4
"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."
