Aguinid Falls in Samboan Cebu, Philippines

Our next adventure took us to the heart of Samboan, Cebu, for an exhilarating waterfalls experience. It’s a 4-hour and 10-minute ride (154.4 km) via Ceres bus. First, head to the Cebu South Bus Terminal and catch a Ceres bus on the Bato-Barili route. Let the conductor know you need to be dropped off at Tangbo, Samboan. When Jon and I arrived at the terminal, there were no air-conditioned buses available to our destination, so we opted for a regular bus.

Believe it or not, I had never heard of Aguinid Falls until Jon introduced me to it. Isn’t it amazing how he knew about this hidden gem in Cebu that I didn’t? Intrigued, I did some quick research and was captivated by the stunning photos I found online. For those unfamiliar with Aguinid Falls, it promises a unique adventure with its nine distinct levels.

The journey begins easily enough with levels 0-5, which you can navigate without a guide. But the real fun starts at levels 6-8, where the challenge—and the excitement—ramps up.
