First Ever US Roadtrip

March 2, 2018, marked one of the most unforgettable weekends (because it was my first ever roadtrip) I've experienced here in the US so far. With my husband enjoying a rare five-day break from work, we embarked on an exciting road trip to visit my dad-in-law in Missouri.

Over the course of five days, we journeyed through four states: Indiana, Illinois, Missouri (where he lives), and Kansas. It was by far the longest road trip of my life, filled with hours of driving that we thoroughly enjoyed. Each state offered breathtaking scenic views, and the quality time spent with my dad made it even more special.

I resonate deeply with a quote from Kapten & Son that says, "My favorite thing: Going where I've never been."

After an 11-hour drive, we finally reached Missouri and we immediately called my dad-in-law. We arranged to meet him for breakfast in a couple of hours. Upon checking in at the Unity Village Hotel and Conference Center around 8:30 am, we barely settled into our room when there was a knock on the door—it was dad. His smiling face greeted us as we hugged each other warmly.
